Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Timeline Visualize mobile application (the “App”), operated by Barbarda (“we”). Using the App requires accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy: the App shows them on its welcome screen and you accept them by tapping “I’ve read and accept”. The App asks again at the first launch of each new version. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

Purpose

The App turns a location-history export you lawfully control, photos and videos you choose, trips it finds in your photo library, and places you add into an animated route, a journey and a video. You are responsible for the files and media you add and for respecting the privacy of anyone whose image or location may appear in them.

Cloud saving of your journeys

Saving your journeys to your account in the cloud is part of the service. It covers what you add to or keep in the App: imported Timeline files; routes, places, dates and times; titles and project settings; manually added places; reduced copies of the photos in a journey; the video clips you add to a journey and the videos the App creates; reduced copies of the photos of every trip the App finds in your photo library, whether or not you keep it, with each photo’s date and place and each trip’s dates and your choice (videos only for trips you keep); and, for trips the App finds in your photo library, each trip’s dates, its number of photos and days, and its area and distance from home rounded to about 10 km. We store this content with Google Firebase, in the United States, under a pseudonymous installation identifier, to back it up, restore it, provide the App’s features, and diagnose problems and improve the App. When you accept these terms, cloud saving is switched on, unless you had turned it off earlier; some versions of the App instead ask about cloud saving as a separate choice after you accept. You can turn cloud saving off at any time in Settings (Privacy & analytics); what is added afterwards is then kept on your device, and copies already saved stay until you delete them. You can request deletion of saved copies in the App (Manage storage → Request deletion) or on the data deletion page. Restoring depends on keeping the same installation identity; restoring on another device is not guaranteed. You confirm that you have the right to provide the content you add, including content that shows or concerns other people.

Usage analytics

To run and improve the App we record how it is used, for example which screens are opened, taps and choices, and the steps of a purchase, with Google Analytics for Firebase under a pseudonymous user ID. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is recorded, how long it is kept and how to turn it off in Settings (Privacy & analytics).

Timeline Visualize is an independent product. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Google LLC. Google, Google Maps, and related marks belong to their respective owner.

Free and Full access

The free tier currently supports any journey inside the latest 90 days of the imported file, a limited number of photos and clips per journey, 720p export, and a watermark. “Full” unlocks every older date, unlimited photos and clips, 1080p and 4K export, and watermark removal. It is available, where the store offers them, as an auto-renewing weekly, monthly or annual subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase; a single journey’s video can also be unlocked with a one-time “Just this video” purchase where offered. An annual subscription may start with a free trial when the store confirms that you are eligible: unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid annual subscription at the price shown. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled through the store account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; access continues through the paid period after cancellation. Regional prices, billing period, and taxes are displayed by the store before payment. Use Restore Purchase in the App to recover eligible purchases.

Store terms, subscription management, and refunds

Apple or Google processes purchases, subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds under its own terms. Subscriptions are charged to the store account at confirmation. You can manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. We cannot access your payment-card details or independently issue store refunds.

Acceptable use

Do not use the App to violate law, infringe rights, stalk or harass a person, or disclose another person’s sensitive location information without authority.

Public journey links

You can publish a single journey as a public web page. Its photos, clips, places and dates are then visible to anyone who has the link until you remove it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

CARTO/OpenStreetMap provides basemap content, RevenueCat provides purchase infrastructure, OneSignal delivers optional notifications, and Google Firebase provides cloud saving, authentication, Analytics, and Crashlytics. Their services and terms may affect relevant features.

Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” Location exports, photo metadata and found trips may contain gaps, inaccuracies, or outliers. Cloud saving is provided to help you keep your journeys, but we cannot guarantee that every item can always be restored; keep your own copies of what matters to you. The App is not intended for navigation, emergency response, legal evidence, or safety-critical decisions.

Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barbarda is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from use of the App. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms by publishing a new effective date; the App asks you to accept the current terms again at the first launch of each new version. Questions: support@barbarda.com.
